Update on Aubree & Kilee

The twins had their 4 month check-up today and they are doing great! Our pediatrician, Dr. Wilcox was surprised that they are rolling over already. They were all smiles and happy at their appointment until they got their shots and then it took my mom and I about 15 minutes to calm them down enough just to put them in their seats. Here are their stats:

Aubree:
12 lbs. 4 oz.=18th %ile
24 3/4 in=68th %ile

Kilee:
11lbs. 10 oz.=10th %ile
24 in= 37 %ile

And, of course getting cuter everyday

The Twins are rolling over!!!

Sydnee

Aubree

My sweet babies are rolling over. They roll from their back to their tummy's. I wanted to get a video of both of them, but I was only able to get Kilee. Aubree actually rolled over first on January 17, and then Kilee rolled over this past Sunday on January 25.

One of my favorite websites, http://www.pinchingyourpennies.com/ has a blog called http://www.utahshoppingsecrets.com/ and my post below entitled "My Hobby" was picked as a guest blog article. I made myself $20 bucks for submitting it! Check it out! There are lots of great blog posts on it about menu planning, couponing, etc.

Season 8 begins!!!!

Well, season 8 of American Idol started on Tuesday, Yahoooooooooeeeee!!!! I love it. Favorites are starting to emerge among all the weirdos. My least favorite so far was "bikini girl". I mean, HELLO! are we trying to cause controversy or what?? I definitely liked the guy named Matt .....something or other.. he was a welder with a heart of gold. I also liked the younger brother of season 7 4th runner-up Jason Castro. His pink hair was a little weird but he definitely has talent. We'll see what this next week brings, what do you think? Will we have a lot of talented singers from our great Beehive State?

My Hobby

One of my hobbies is trying to see how many groceries I can get for the smallest amount of money. I do this with the help of one of my favorite websites http://www.pinchingyourpennies.com/ . It has allowed me to do two things:

1)Keep our grocery bill low

2)Slowly build our food storage

Sloan and I try to be frugal and our goal is to keep our grocery bill low because we would rather spend our money on other things. I love couponing, and I try to plan my meals around what's on sale and combine those sales with coupons. At two recent sales at Albertson's, I got the following:
1st sale:
168 Pampers diapers
1box Rice Krispies
1box Cascadian Farms raisin bran
1box Froot Loops
1box Frosted Flakes
2 boxes Fruit Roll-ups
2 boxes fruit snacks
2 boxes Fiber one granola bars
1 box Fiber one toaster pastries
2 boxes Fiber one pancake mix
1 box Fiber one muffin mix
3 boxes Hamburger Helper
1 bag Cheerios snack mix
1 6-can pack of Slim Fast shakes
1 box Slim Fast meal-on-the-go bars
1 box Slim Fast snack bars
1 box Bisquick
1 box Betty Crocker instant potatoes
2 bags Malt-O-Meal Blueberry muffin top cereal
My total was $29 and change
2nd sale:
4 boxes Quaker instant oatmeal packets
2 canisters Quaker oats
2 boxes Quaker granola bars
4 boxes Life cereal
4 boxes Raisin Bran
8 jars Beech-Nut baby food
2 jars Beech-Nut white grape juice
1 box Beech-Nut Rice Cereal
My total was $23 plus dollars, but I used $20 in free grocery certificates from the last sale, so it was only $3.28 out of pocket for me.

Happy New Year!!!

It's been a while since I posted. This year for New Years we went up to my sister Cami's cabin at Bear Lake for a couple of days. I went snowmobiling for the first time in my life and I actually drove one!! We also did a little bit of sledding. As we were all standing around at the top of the sledding hill, I glanced around to make sure Sydnee was by me and I saw her riding down the hill all by herself! She had sit down in the sled she was holding onto and it just took off! It was a pretty big hill too. It was pretty funny too considering she's scared of sledding anyway. Unfortunately, my camera battery died and I didn't have the charger so I only got these two pics.
